The elevator operator then opened the trap door near the back end of the wagon
and released the lever. Then, the farmer had his horses back up slowly. As the
wagon moved back, the dump logs would tilt down like a teeter totter, raising
the front end of the wagon while lowering the back end.
When you are ready, return to the Floorplan, and move on to the “Grain
Leg.”

| Twelve-foot long dump logs are located in the floor of the
elevator driveway. The dump logs were made long enough for a farmer to position
both the front and rear wheels of his or her wagon on the logs (“on the
cradle”) . |
