Incorporate these Illinois State Standards-aligned lesson plans into your classroom to extend and reinforce your students' experience. These lesson plans are designed to be used in conjunction with a visit to the J.H. Hawes Grain Elevator Museum, but they can also be used with the activities and information provided on the museum website. The lessons were designed to be customized by teachers based on their purpose, student needs and abilities, content areas, interests, and level of comfort. They include many options, modifications, and additions and can be tailored easily.
