 Each
year many school children visit the elevator to learn more about the history
of grain farming in Illinois and to experience the excitement of this working
grain elevator, a mechanical marvel of its time.
The museum offers guided tours, educational programs, and demonstrations.
Customized programs and tours can be designed to fit educators' needs. State
standards-aligned lesson plans and supporting activities are also available.
